Details

The TY-055 is the smallest motor in the cooling fan range, a neat white cylinder with a flat base and a short, fine shaft rising from the top. Its petite dimensions make it ideal for tiny enclosures and low-power cooling tasks where larger motors would be wasteful or impossible to fit: small cooling fans for electronics boxes, router and set-top boxes, air fresheners, aroma diffusers, mini humidifiers, display lighting, and small food warmers. The white plastic or painted body is lightweight, keeping total assembly weight low, and it reflects heat in compact, well-lit installations. Despite its small size, the TY-055 employs the same careful approach used in our larger motors: laminated silicon steel for the stator, enamelled copper windings and a balanced rotor. These details keep the motor free of buzzing and hot spots even when it runs for days without a break. Its flat base can be stuck, screwed or clipped to a surface, while the short shaft readily accepts small plastic blades with a press fit. Because its current draw is low, it can run from a low-voltage supply such as 5V, 12V or 24V, as well as standard mains voltage if needed, allowing designers to choose the best option for their circuit. The start-up is quick and gentle, making it suitable for devices that switch on and off frequently under thermostat control.
