Details

The ty-101 is a slim silver motor with a shaft that passes completely through the body and protrudes from both ends, giving the designer two output points from a single machine. This dual-output feature is valuable for equipment in which two components need to be driven simultaneously, such as a pair of brushes, two fan wheels on opposite sides, a pair of rollers, or a polishing wheel on each end of a bench grinder. The shaft is long and straight, ground to a tight tolerance, which keeps both ends concentric and avoids vibration. The body is a compact tubular casing with a light-colored finish and a low profile, so the entire motor can slip into a narrow chassis without wasting space. Through-bolt flanges at each end hold the stator in place, and the lack of a foot bracket gives the installer freedom to clamp the motor in V-blocks, saddle brackets or custom brackets according to the machine's layout. Inside, the ty-101 offers a steady running speed and low noise, thanks to a well-balanced rotor and carefully selected bearings. This makes it appropriate for air curtain units, double-sided fans, small polishers, sweeping brushes, laboratory shakers and food display rotators. It can run continuously on mains power, and the winding can be built for either direction of rotation. We can supply the shaft in alternative lengths, with flats or keyways cut to match your accessories, and we can provide options for speed control or a thermal cut-out. Compared with the L-bracketed Model 106, the ty-101 does not carry its own mount, which lets customers integrate it into their own frame and keep costs low.
